Celebration of Freedom Continues @ the Potter's House

We are still promoting the book http://www.OutskirtsMuse.com/LiberatedMuse and will be doing so @ the Potter's House on Sept. 11 and will bringing a robust show of spoken word from the book, music performances from members of LiberatedMuse.com and visual art exhibited by members of the network. More details to come...the talent on board so far is amazing. In June, our show was so dynamic I was astounded.

I’ve been reading since I was three years-old. Then, my hands were barely big enough to hold a hard-cover illustrated storybook, my lap too small to hold the stacks of books I loved to pull from the shelves at the library. But, my love affair with words was immediate and addictive. No Stomachs Were Hurt in the Making of this Meal

Ok, I admit, I was pretty darn scared. I will be honest, too. The pumpkin pies were not that great, but, hey, who is counting when the turkey was divine! Heading to Texas for Pedagogy & Theater of the Oppressed Conference

We performed in the 2009 Pedagogy & Theater of the Oppressed Conference in Minnesota ) I was excited to learn week before last that my proposal was selected as a workshop for the upcoming Pedagogy and Theater of the Oppressed which will be in Austin, TX this year. I attended the conference last year with The Saartjie Project and we performed then. I enjoyed being in Minnesota, but I am really looking forward to being Texas. I've only been in Texas briefly when we stopped in Texas when I was a cruise of the Gulf of Mexico. The workshop I'm presenting is about my first play Shades of Black: a thought in progress which I wrote and produced when working as a college administrator.
